So here’s the deal—
I was starving after work one Friday night, and my usual kebab spot had this massive queue. I’m grumpy when I’m hungry, so I just typed “halal burgers near me” on Google Maps, saw Smashies, and figured, “Eh, why not?”
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. But wow… that first bite? Game-changer.
(Also, smash burger in Fulham was literally what I searched, so there’s that.)

What I loved about it
- The burger was juicy but not greasy—like, perfect meat-to-cheese ratio.
- Bun? Soft but held it all together. No mess sliding all over my hands.
- I got the Spicy One and wow, it actually had a kick. Not “mild labeled spicy” nonsense.
- Fries were seasoned (thank you) and didn’t taste like freezer-bag sadness.
- My friend got the halal chicken burger and kept saying “Bro, this is better than Morley’s.” 😂
Oh, and the Oreo shake? Insane. Thick enough to be a meal, honestly.
Here’s what bugged me
Okay, small thing—
It’s kinda hard to spot from the street if you’re not looking for it.
Also, we had to wait like 10–12 mins, which is not bad, but when you’re starving… you feel it.
And uh, can we get a loyalty card or something? I’ve already been back three times. 😂
Would I go again?
Already have. Twice.
Last time I got the Stamford Smash and it might be my new go-to.
Also heard they’re adding some New Burgers soon?? I’m ready.
Paid £8.49 for the burger in May 2025—and honestly, feels fair for London. Especially Fulham.
Final thoughts
If you’re like me and tired of dry burgers that taste like regret, give Smashies a shot.
It’s not fancy. It’s just really good food made right.
Tip: Grab extra napkins. You’ll need ’em.
Have you tried Smashies yet? Got a fave burger spot in London I should check out? Drop it in the comments!
